Our bourbon steward and aficionado, Scott, picked out a series of bourbon classics that he would pick over some of the rare unicorn bourbons that go for thousands. Having tried many of the rare Pappys and Blantons, Scott vouches for this lineup being just as delicious and in some cases better! These bourbons are legendary in flavor and have a rich heritage.
The Rotary Club of Carpentersville presents our very first bourbon tasting flight (9) and Proof Case (1). The "Angel's Share" is what distillers call the portion of the barrel that evaporates during aging—and is for the angels. We wanted to create a special kit for the angels in our community that continually support our fundraising efforts.
This is the perfect gift for a bourbon drinker who would like to do a guided tasting of some great bourbons that won't break the bank. It includes nine 1oz samples, a Glencairn tasting glass, and a beautiful travel/display case. We plan on doing a series of these tasting flights with the option of reusing the kit on future tastings. All profits go to our charitable causes.
We will be doing a live video to walk you through an official bourbon tasting. East Dundee resident and business owner Scott Andresen will be your tasting guide and is a certified Executive Bourbon Steward and member of the prestigious Stave & Thief Society. He has participated in more than 25 private barrel selections in the last year. The video will be hosted online for future viewing in case the date and time we select does not work for you. So you can get this as a gift for Christmas and the video will still be available to watch later.
Estimated availability: Fall 2020. Limit of 50 cases, unless we see enough demand to build out more. Kits can be picked up locally (in Carpentersville or East Dundee), but cannot be shipped.
