Easter Dinner for Local Needy Families

Up early on the Saturday just before Easter and running around collecting the last remaining baskets. We gathered up all we had, made the last additions, and lined up the baskets ready to be picked up! One last bonus, a trunk full of Beanie Babies donated to the children of the families, not to mention the additional Easter candy that was included in each basket. Finally we were ready!... Now only time will tell if the families will show up!

Sure enough they came with happy faces and excited children thrilled about what they were about to receive. A good Easter Dinner with extra goodies and food to spare! As long as it took to put together and collect all of the baskets it was all over in a matter of an hour. Job Well Done!   

As the final days grew closer to our delivery date (4.7.12) the Easter Dinner Baskets were starting to pile up. In the end we had a total of 28 baskets given out to needy families in the Carpentersville Community. Just 7 short of goal of 35. In all, not to bad for our first year collecting Easter Dinner Baskets!
