Announcing our new president, John O’Sullivan!  Melissa hands over the torch to a very capable leader who is sure to continue the great work in our community and the world outside it. Michael Dewey will have John’s back as the new president-elect. John appointed two members to new positions: Dave Nutt was named the chairman of International Service and Andy Sauder was named chairman of Marketing and Design. John praised the club for amazing service to the local community but also added it is part of an international organization that also serves a global community. John's focus and passion for "service above self" is clear to all, and we can't wait to see what we can accomplish over the next year.
Melissa Hernandez set a very high standard for John with her hard work and exceptional growth of the club over the past year. When meetings shifted from being in person to happening virtually, she was quick to adapt—and kept them fun! Attendance at meetings was just as high, and new fundraising ideas were set as priorities for the club to make up for lost revenues on canceling the Pub Crawl and 5K race. Our club is stronger and more agile because of the hard work Melissa invested.
If you'd like to see what our club is all about, we're always looking for volunteers to help us serve this community. Ask about joining one of our weekly meetings on Wednesdays at 7am at Southern Belles, or online over Zoom.
