2012 Carpentersville Oktoberfest

Cloudy, Rainy, Windy, Rainy, Cold, Windy, Rainy, Sunshine, Warm, Cloudy, Rainy, Tornado Warning, Windy, Rainy.... This year's Carpentersville Oktoberfest did not have the best weather or ideal conditions but people still came out to try and enjoy themselves.

Pop Up tents were prone to getting blown away if not properly anchored down, the rain seem liked it was coming from any direction possible, everything was soggy and could not stay dry, cyclist were coming of the course drenched in mud from head to toe. All these factors contributed to making this year's event one to remember.

As a Rotary club we made our attempt to keep the people some what warm by providing Hot Coffee & Hot Chocolate, keeping them energized with the variety of sugary snack cakes we had available, and keeping them entertained with our fishing game and "Futterung" idea. Fest goers came and showed their support but the continuous changing weather just put s major damper on all of the activities.
